Elderly Ladies of the Kalliat Family

Kalliat Thazhathu  veettil  Madhavi  Amma :-

          The  seniormost  female  member of  the  tharavad .She  married  Ayilliath  Kuttiery  Koran nambiarThe  couple  had  two  daughters, Sreedevi  and  Parvathi.  Their only son  Kammaran  (valiya  Kammaran  Nambiar  )  is  the  first karanavar  of  the  family.

K T Lakshmi  Amma :-

              Lakshmi Amma is wife of V .P Rairu Nambiar who was advocate at Madras High Court. The couple had five  daughters (Madhavi, Devaki ,Lakshmikutty ,Kunhammalu and Rohini ) and four sons (Gopalan ,Madhavan , Padmanabhan ,and  Balakrishnan  ).Lakshmi Amma created history as she was the first Nair lady to cross KORAPPUZHA ( In those days , nair  ladies from north Malabar were not allowed to go beyond Korappuzha )She went to Madras to join her husband .That was  indeed a brave deed in those days.

K  T  . Janaki  Amma :- 

              Janaki Amma married Ponmalery Koroth Kunhanandan Nambiar.The couple had six daughters and three  sons.(Ammini, Kamalakshy, Omana, Devi, Rugmini, Janaki, Kunhi kannan , Ramakrishnan , Harischandran )Janaki Amma took  great interest in maintaining the tharavad house after partition. She was very particular that the tharavad and temples  should be maintained well even after partition .She took interest in the poojas at thazhathu veedu thekkini and also at  the VETTAKKORUMAKAN TEMPLE  .

K .T Narayani  Amma :-

         The KAMMATATH THAVAZHI begins from Narayani Amma who married Koodali thazhathu veettil Kunhi Krishnan  nambiar( Kuttiappa ).Kunhi Krishnan nambiar was the Karanavar of the Koodali Tharavad.They had Two sons (Kunhi Kammaran,  kunhi Krishnan ) and two daughters (devi and Karthiayani )

K  T  Ammalu  Amma :-

 The PERUNTHALERI branch of the family begins from Ammalu amma who married perunthalery Sreedharan  Nambiar They had five daughters and two sons (Sreedharan, Raghavan ,Sharada, Kallianikutty, Seetha, Indira, Sarojam .

K. T.  Narayani  Amma :-

The PERUMANNU branch of the family begins from Narayani Amma who married Koodali thazhathu veettil  Narayanan Nambiar.They had three sons and a daughter. (Balaraman,Damodaran,Kuttykrishnan and Ammukutty  )

K. T. Rohini  Amma :-

The KAPPARATTI branch of the tharavad begins from Rohini Ammawho married MaJ. A. C. Gopalan Nambiar.They  have three sons and three daughters (Rajan, Gopi, Prahladan, Shakunthala, Priyamvada, Nirmala )

K. T. Kunhammalu  Amma :-

             The NINGILERY branch of the tharavad begins from Kunhammalu Amma who married  N .T Madhavan Nambiar.They have  two daughters (Bhanumathi and Bharathi )

K. T. Lakshmikutty  Amma :-

            The  PERUVANPARAMBA branch of the tharavad begins  from  Lakshmikutti amma who married Vengayil Rayarappan  Nayanar. They have ten children (Devi, Chathukutty, Omana ,Leela, Balagopalan,Janaki [ponnu], Devidas, Rema, Sreemathi  and Mohanan )

K .T.  Devaki  Amma :-

           The RAVIMANDIRAM branch of the tharavad begins from Devaki Amma who married Adv. K .T. Chandu Nambiar. They  have eleven children. (Sarojini [ Ammukutty ], Ravindranath, Harindranath, Chandravalli [Chinnu] ,Sreekumari, Hemalatha {Thankam ], Shyamala [shantha], Gopindranath, Seethalakshmi,Savithri, Padmavathi )

K. T. Madhavi  Amma :-

              The CHITHRARI branch of the tharavad begins from Maadhavi Amma. She married Koodali Thazhathu Veettil Kunhi Kammaran Nambiar. He was the karanavar of koodali tharavad. They have four sons and four daughters. [Narayanan[Appukuttan], Kunhi Kammaran [Sukumaran ],Ramachandran, Balagopalan,Meenakshi, Padmini, Jayalakshmi, Premalatha ]
